What Is A Cattle Steel Fence
On February 24, 2021 by Rafael RyanThe fence, used for keeping cattle out of or in a certain area and is made from steel, is known as a cattle steel fence. These fences can be made from different types of materials based on the location and terrain where cattle are to be kept protected. Similarly, the design and height of these fences used for keeping livestock under captivity must meet the requirements of the law. The average height of a cattle fence should not be less than 1.2 meters or 4 feet.
Benefits of the cattle fence
A good fence can confine and protect your livestock by restricting their movement with the help of the barriers installed in them. These barriers can be psychological, physical, or both depending upon the type of fence as well as animals to be confined. The materials used for making physical barriers should be strong enough to discourage or prevent animals to go through it, over it, or under it. if the physical barriers are not strong enough then psychological barriers can be used to discourage animals to go out of the fence by inflicting pain.

Materials used in cattle fence
Traditionally materials used for making a fence for livestock include electrified wires, woven mesh, barbed mesh, or the combination of all of these materials. Boards are also popularly used for making livestock fences. Though these traditional materials are still in use but steel cattle fence is also gaining popularity these days because of their additional strength, if designed and made properly.
Types of a cattle fence
To keep livestock confinement various types of fences are used these days depending upon the age, species, production system, and breed of the animals to be confined. A controlled grazing system in the fence for beef cattle can be quite different from the recreational pastures designed to keep the horse in confinement. Different types of fencing materials can be used for making divisions or permanent boundary of the fence which should not be similar to that used for making temporary obstructions in the fence.
