Orange Picnic Races
The Orange & District Picnic Races Committee takes much pleasure in inviting you, along with your family and friends, to attend the upcoming Orange & District Picnic Races on Saturday, 26th January 2013 from 12pm at Towac Park Racecourse.
Thanks to the support of our guests and sponsors, the race day and cocktail party in 2012 were hugely successful for our committee. For 2013 we are looking to support a local charity.
The 2013 Orange & District Picnic Races will be held in a similar format to last year. The marquee area will again be set up on the lawns inside the licensed area of the racecourse. In recent years this format has worked well and has given patrons a sense of a village-style marquee area, lending itself to the spirit and fun of picnic racing.
Marquees can be hired or you can bring your own.
There will again be satellite bars established within the marquee area to enable our committee, the local police and Racing Orange ensure the responsible service of alcohol. We would also like to remind you that the racecourse is a licensed area and no alcohol can be brought into the grounds. Racegoers not wishing to set up a picnic marquee are still very welcome with full bar and food facilities available on the day.
For any queries, please phone us on 0413 585 002 or email orangepicnics@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you at the 2013 Orange & District Picnic Races. The support of you and your friends will help ensure the success of our event.
