• Ophir (26 kms outside of Orange) was the site of Australia’s first payable gold discovery

 

• The Amusu in Manildra is Australia’s longest running picture theatre

 

• Cadia Gold mine is one of the largest open pit gold-copper mines in Australia

 

• Manildra is home to the largest flour mill in the southern hemisphere
